Disaster relief fund for the Squash Community in east Japan
We would like to express our deepest sympathy for all who are experiencing hardship due to the East Japan Earthquake & Tsunami. Sending our sincere condolences to those who have lost their loved ones, we pray for those who are in need of help and hope they receive it as soon as possible.
At the same time, we would like to thank all the people from the world who have been trying to help us in many ways.
However, a large number of people in the region are still suffering due to damage caused by the disaster, as well as suffering from shortages of various necessities and from the threat of radiation poisoning caused by the problems at the Fukushima Nuclear Plants. There has already been a lot of help provided from all over the world; however, since the damage is overwhelming and complicated, the funds have not always reached the individuals they are meant to help, including those people in the Japanese squash community.
In order to help support those people, we have established a disaster relief fund. Our desire is for those people to get their lives back to normal as quickly as possible, which we believe includes bringing the squash communities in those affected areas back to where they were before the disaster. The money we collect will go to branches of the Japan Squash Association and other related offices in the region.
Please check back for follow-up information regarding how the money is being distributed.
